My first contact was with Robert on the weekend and he was very relaxed, professional, and very pleasant to talk with. I left my car for Mr. Larry Kirby to look at Monday and call me back.
Promptly Monday morning Mr. Kirby call me back as agreed and took the time to explain my various options without any high pressure tactics. We agreed on a path and they did the work as planned and on time. Best experience I have had in a long time.
Kirby and his guys did a great job working on my car. They were able to fix things that others were not able to. I would recommend them for all your car maintenance and repair needs.

I'm NEW to Houston and AMMCO is where I have taken my car in the past. It was nice to meet Kirby at the AMMCO on 9584 FM 1960 West. Kirby is very friendly and fair. I was nervous going somewhere NEW to get my car fixed but Kirby and the AMMCO team made me feel welcome and that I was in good hands. I took my car in because it was overheating. After talking with Mr. Kirby he gave me an estimate which was more than fair for the work being done. Dropped my car off at noon and had it back the same day by 5:00. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I will have all work done on my cars here. Mr. Kirby was honest, fair and an absolute joy to work with. I highly recommend working with Mr. Kirby and this Aamco station.

Kirby is experienced and professional. He is also a people person which goes a long way with me. I was stressed and worried when Cadillac wasn't willing to install a used transmission. I took my car to Kirby at AAMCO and he took care of everything with my extended warranty and completely rebuilt my transmission. My car is running like new. I will return to him for work in the future. Excellent customer service!!!!
After a horrible service experience with a local dealership that I thought would fix my car. I was left frustrated and out of $185 and my car was not fixed. I was told about AAMCO 77070. I called and was told to bring my car the next morning by Mr. Kirby. I took it in and I was given a ride back home. I got a call later that evening with Mr. Kirby telling me my car would be ready that day, was just waiting for the part to be delivered. If the part came late it would be ready the next day....which was today. I received the call today telling me my car was ready to be picked up!!!! Mr. Kirby really was a man of his word and did exactly what he said he would do and I was only required to pay my deductible on my extended warranty. The dealership I dealt with was deceitful and crooked. Mr. Kirby and his staff were honorable and gained my respect and business in a mere few hours. I would definitely recommend his business to all my friends and family. Thank you Mr. Kirby.
I am very very pleased with the service i received Mr. Kirby went above and beyond to get me back on the road after Dodge wanted to keep my truck 2016 Ram diesel for 10 days for a small leak and this was every dodge dealer within Houston that was under warranty by them well long story short Kirby got it done in 1 day also working with my extended warranty on other issues it’s hard to find a place that is honest quick and reliable but I have to say it was all of that and my truck has been running great! I’m not big on writing reviews but I had to for the job well done!
Mr. Kirby provided excellent Customer Service and got the job done in a timely manner. In a day in age when Professionalism and Courtesy is seldom seen, it was refreshing to experience such a genuine kind and hardworking staff.

My brakes were making the loudest noise. I dropped my car off, got a call letting me know what was wrong and how much it would cost to repair, and everything was done within a couple hours. Very reasonably priced and the people are so nice. Definitely recommend.
Kirby (and team) is the best!! First time visit was great. Super thankful. Dropped my car off before work, picked it up at lunch. He explained everything to me. Felt really comfortable. He let me know work that needed to be completed today and services that i will need I the future (so i can plan for it). I have a 12 year old car and want to keep it running great for many more years. Plan on returning to Kirby at AAMCO for all my car work!!
I would like to thank Mr. Kirby and Jeremy for their professional and friendly service last Friday. I was in from out of town for the weekend, taking my mother-in-law to a hair appointment when my car would not start. After getting a horrendously ridiculous quote for a clutch job at a local shop, I went to AAMCO and Larry for a better deal and a nationwide warranty. Larry listened to my concerns, documented my vehicle history, and diagnosed my problem on the spot. He worked within my budgetary constraints while also letting me know about two other services I should consider in the future. He never hardsold me on either of them, which I appreciate. Will definitely go back in the future.
I recently had an issue with my 2002 Toyota Tundra. I took the truck into AAMCO in White Plains New York... I met with the owner, Jeff Zaid, he explained what the problem was, how he would go about repairing the truck and the associated costs. He fixed the leaking in the transmission and the price was exactly as quoted.. A few days later another problem occurred and I brought the truck back again...Again I was quoted the price and explained the problem and the truck was repaired. It was a pleasure doing business at this facility and I would recommend it without qualification.
Larry is very friendly and helpful. I am taking my 2006 Hummer H3 there tomorrow for a complete brake job.
It is NOT on FM1960 Bypass, but on FM1960W, west of SH249. And it is a great place to do business. They quickly determined that I did not need the $350 repair that another place told me. And they inspected the entire underside of the vehicle, and fixed a non-tranny item for me for free.
Larry was very helpful when we were unable to drive our car. He explained carefully what was wrong & how they could fix it.Thanks!

Larry K. and the crew are a rock stars, they got my transmission rebuilt, real seal, new hub bearings, oil change, and fuels system done on budget and on time! drove it to dallas and back with full pinball load in the truck bed. They really do all the Houston Police cars I saw 5 of them getting worked on!
The staff at AAMCO were really great at helping me with my transmission problem. First, they checked it with a computer to give me a better idea of what was wrong. Once they open the transmission they showed me the problem and what caused it.Thanks guys.

Mr. Kirby was very knowledgeable in servicing my car. He told me what was need for the transmission and other issues that needed attention. He explained the repairs and the cost. The service was great!
My Toyota Camry’s transmission suddenly died on me. AAMCO took a look and determined I needed an overhaul. News nobody wants to hear. Kirby was always polite, respectful, and a pleasure to work with. I got it back after a few days and drove it for a few weeks and noticed a shifting problem at a certain speed under certain conditions. I took a video of the RPM needle so Kirby could see what I was seeing. He asked me to bring it back in and he’d take a look. He fought with the car until he was finally able to nail down the problem. I appreciate the resolve and “do what it takes to make it right” mentality from Kirby. In the end, my tyranny now works beautifully.
Mr. Kirby did an awesome job explaining what was going on with my vehicle, he went in details on what needed to be done with my vehicle. I highly recommend this AAMCO service center to anyone that need work done on their vehicle. I will be coming back in the future for all of my vehicle repairs.
Mr Kirby is a professional manager at AAMCO. He explained throughly the process of what our vehicle needed and gave us a timeline of when vehicle would be completed. He gave us his word and he fulfilled his promise. Once the vehicle was ready, we were in and out in no time!! No delays at all especially during this crazy year. I recommend this shop to anybody!
